I'm Karin and have been proud to call Southwest Michigan my home for over 30 years. I've lived, worked, and volunteered in the St Joe community while raising a family. I'm an artist working with tumbled glass to create unique glass art pieces combined into a small picture frame format. Over many years of travel with my husband, John, I have collected beach sand and glass from all over the world. This activity helped me realize that we have an amazing and wonderful beach area right here in the community! This helped drive my interest in lake rocks and beach glass. It's not unusual on any given Sunday morning to find me walking along the Lake Michigan beach in search of treasures. My obsession with beach glass allowed me to become creative and artistic while using glass as an art medium. By tumbling my own glass, it allows me to have a ready supply of shapes, colors, and styles, all while keeping the end cost of my projects reasonable. All my glass picture art is fun and whimsical and makes great gifts.
